One will wonder why these streets are neglected amidst others. Your first visit to Vulcanizer area of Akowonjo at night will amaze you, especially on the activities that characterized the area from Yekini Lawal up to the end of Samuel Street. You will want to compare the activities to some parts of Old Obalende. In the same vein you will not go without noticing the street lights that brightens the environment; powered by a generating set and of course the ever busy women attending to their in-merry mood customers ranging from orders of various drinks and delicacies such as pepper soup of assorted meats and point and kill fish.
Amidst all these fun and activities you will be shocked why all other streets around are blessed with very good roads except for Abati and Sadiku streets. Another thing that will male you puzzle and may even trigger you to ask questions is the kind of politician’s coming into these streets for meetings or visit. Then your question will be; why the neglect?
There were speculations that people on these street voted PDP which could be the only reason why these roads are neglected despite it bad condition. Considering the hard work of ACN now metamorphosed into APC in the area of road and infrastructures within the state, one wonders why the neglect on these streets that harbors top member of the party as her resident.
Whatever the reasons may be the question if asked is what is good for the goose is no longer good for the gander.
With the crave for SMES businesses within Alimosho LGA, only constructions of roads would boost them and also attract additional IGR for both the state and local government.
