Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, says security forces had intelligence about a terrorist attack on the 15 Task Force Brigade in Benisheikh three days before it happened.
The attack claimed the life of Brigade Commander, Brigadier General O.O. Braimoh, and several others.
Zulum described the incident as “shocking and deeply troubling”, questioning how the attackers struck despite prior warnings. He called for an urgent review of military strategies to prevent similar attacks.
The governor emphasized the need for enhanced intelligence coordination and proactive measures to safeguard military installations and civilians. He assured troops of continued support from the Borno State Government
