President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised the armed forces for their intense offensives against insurgents, saying their counterattacks are a sign of desperation. In a statement via his X handle, he condoled with the families of soldiers, including Brigadier-General Oseni Omoh Braimah, who lost their lives in Borno State.
Tinubu assured the government will support the military and provide necessary equipment, saying, “The government will always stand by the Armed Forces. We will ensure the welfare of all who risk their lives for our safety.”
He urged Nigerians to support the military in their battle against insurgency and banditry, calling the soldiers “our heroes; unforgettable and irreplaceable”. The President also commended the troops’ courage and dedication, saying their sacrifices will not be in vain.
