President *Bola Ahmed Tinubu* has congratulated Governor *Ademola Adeleke* on his re-election in Osun State, describing the victory as “a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our country” under the All Progressives Congress administration.
In a State House Press Statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, *Bayo Onanuga*, the President said he personally called Adeleke to congratulate him.
“I called Governor Ademola Adeleke earlier today to congratulate him on his election victory in Osun State. His victory once again confirmed the confidence the people of Osun State have in him,” President Tinubu stated.
The President urged the re-elected governor to prioritize unity as he begins his second term.
“I wish him great success as he prepares to lead the state for the next four years. Now that he has won, Governor Adeleke must unite the people of Osun State and rally them for growth, stability, and social and economic progress, regardless of the political choices they made at the election.”
President Tinubu also saluted other candidates who participated in the poll.
“I salute the courage and discipline displayed by other contestants in the election. Their participation deepened and enriched our country’s democratic culture. The outcome of the election reflects the will of the people and is a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our land.”
He further commended the *Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC*, and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful and transparent process that produced a clear winner.
With this statement, the Presidency is signaling acceptance of the Osun results and backing for a peaceful transition. The emphasis on unity and development sets the tone for governance in Osun over the next four years.

The Osun governorship election is widely seen as a test of electoral credibility ahead of the 2027 general elections.
