The office of Head of Administration Igando-Ikotun LCDA Holds Induction Ceremony for The Appointed and Deployed Officers

    Igando-Ikotun LCDA under the leadership of Honourable Morenike Adeshina Williams in partnership with the Head of Administration, Mr Olalere Olarenwaju today hosted the newly appointed and deployed officers. The event which had top executive and legislative arm of the Local Government led by the Chairman duly represented by her vice, Honourable Adewunmi Dada, the Secretary to the Local Government Comrade Akinsanya Ayunde Lasisi, the leader of the house Hon. Prince Dada Gbadamosi amongst others.

    In her opening remark, the chairman through her vice welcomed the inductees and advised to listen very well in what they will be taught during the induction that it will go a long way in helping them execute their duties while declaring the event open.

    Comrade Akinsanya in his speech welcomed the inductees and urged them to make sure their hearts are open to learning as the local government is the basis of the civil service career while noting that the local government service have been able to produce great men of services including the current governor of Lagos state, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode. 

    The induction exercise proceeded with the introduction of members of the high table followed by the brief presentation from each of the Head of Department in the LCDA on their duties/responsibilities of their depts.

    The HOA Mr Olarenwaju Olalere a Lagosion from the Olowogbowo area of Lagos Island took the floor to hand-down the ethics and rule of engagement to the inductees, he highlighted the need for each of them to be loyal to their superiors also noting that their service is subject to confirmation after two years which disqualifies them from any benefit in the case of dismissal or disengagement.

    He reiterated that the hierarchical of the service is supreme in term of discharging all duties as he welcomed the inductees to the LCDA as he that the efforts of the Chairman Honourable Adeshina Morenike Wiliams whom he said has made this induction a reality while referencing his days of joining the service, where they were promised for an induction but decades after such is yet to happen. In his act of motivation the HOA gave a personal financial gift to the best dressed inductees as picked by the Vice Chairman, SLG and the Leader

    The Human Resource Officer Mr Hunsunhegbe G. O. N. while commending the inductees sounded a note of warning to them on any act of lukewarmness or lateness to duty as he will not tolerate such acts.
