PEOPLE WHO FAIL TO GROW THEIR LOVE WITH GOD WILL FAIL TO SUBMIT OR LOVE THEIR SPOUSE.
You cannot claim to know God if you fail/refuse to submit to your husband or love your wife, because Jesus said, ” If you [ really ] love Me, you will keep ( obey ) My commands.” (John 14:15). One of the reasons why we have the love of God is to first help us to know how to love God, and then love our neighbours. Your husband or your wife remains your first neighbour for this practice of LOVE and SUBMISSION.
Submission in both ways for husband and wife is perfect love for God. “Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)”- Ephesians 5:21 AMP). The husband submits fully to God who is his head to submit his love to his wife, while the wife submits to God to submit to her husband.
HUSBAND! If you fail to truly love your wife and instead give her loads of headaches, you would certainly be hurting God more than you are hurting your wife; and He will punish you for that, because He (God) commanded you to love your wife. It wasn’t your wife that gave you that instruction. Many husbands businesses have crumbled because they failed to obey God in loving their wives. And many will never rise beyond where they are, and many more who are wasting their resources on strange women will fall sooner or later if they fail to love their wives (1 Pet. 3:7). Disobedience is the only thing that will run people to hell. To escape hell, please submit to God fully, and love your wife. NEVER ATTEMPT FORCING YOUR WIFE TO SUBMISSION. Play your own role. Keep loving her and keep praying for her, even if she’s not bulging. Both of you are answerable to God for the reward of obedience or disobedience to Him. Your continuous love action (not sex) can be heaped up on her like coals of fire capable of turning her hearts back to God and to you. Let God use you and not the devil. Let all your actions always tilt toward God’s will.
WIFE! If you fail to submit to your husband and instead give him loads of headaches, you would certainly be hurting God more than you are hurting your husband, and God will punish you for that, because He (God) was the one who commanded you to submit to your husband. It wasn’t your husband that gave you that instruction. Many wives will never be successful wives and mothers if they fail to submit to their husbands as unto the Lord (Eph. 5:22). Woman, don’t allow disobedience to run you to hell. To escape hell, please submit to God fully, and submit to your husband. NEVER ATTEMPT FORCING YOUR HUSBAND TO LOVE YOU. You can’t change him. Only God can. Play your own role even if he’s not changing. Both of you are answerable to God for the reward of obedience or disobedience to Him. Every action you take must be with the mind of pleasing God for your husband. In addition, pray for him.
Since the day you got married, your spouse became your first neighbour. So, endeavour to love your neighbour as yourself.
