The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the end of the first quarter of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, scheduled to close on December 10, 2025. As part of the process, the commission will display the Register of Voters for Claims and Objections from December 15 to 21, 2025, at Local Government Offices across the country.

According to INEC, the display is in line with Section 19 of the Electoral Act 2022, allowing citizens to verify their details, report inaccuracies, and identify ineligible or deceased persons on the register.

As of November 28, 2025, INEC reported 9,891,801 online pre-registrations, with 2,572,054 registrations completed, including 1,503,832 online and 1,068,222 physical registrations.

The CVR exercise is suspended in Anambra State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) due to electoral activities, with new dates to be communicated later. The second phase of the exercise is set to resume on January 5, 2026.

INEC reaffirms its commitment to a credible and transparent Register of Voters and urges citizens to participate in the process.
