ICPC, El-Rufai Case Resumes in Kaduna Court

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, appeared at the Kaduna State High Court on Monday for the resumption of his trial, alongside Amadu Sule, over allegations of abuse of office, fraud, intent to commit fraud, and conferring undue advantage. El-Rufai arrived at the court around 9 a.m. under tight security, with supporters and legal observers in attendance.

The ICPC had previously arraigned El-Rufai on 10-count charges, including abuse of office, money laundering, and fraud totaling ₦579.6 million and $1.1 million, with a bail hearing scheduled for April 14.

Before entering the courtroom, El-Rufai was overheard discussing the upcoming African Democratic Congress (ADC) convention with an associate, indicating his continued involvement in politics amidst the ongoing trial.
