Don’t allow Satan to creep into your marriage through offence, and subtly employ you as a tool of revenge to fight your partner in the flesh. He does this to derail marriages so he could stop God’s purpose in such marriages where two supposedly marriage lovers are meant to raise up godly seeds for God that would be threats to his kingdom-Gen. 3:15; Psalm 127:5. It’s not enough for you to sit there and say “God forbid” until you do something positively.
Many one-time innocent partners are in danger of hell, especially married women whose husbands have all of a sudden broken their marriage covenant. (More married men than married women commit adultery). But instead of repenting, they continued to be caught up in multiple chains of adultery and this has gotten such wives infuriated in such a way that they have become spirituality blinded to see the devil behind their onetime sweet marriage that’s now going down. It’s your right to get angry? O sure! And the bible said so. But unfortunately, the other part which happens to be three-quarters of the entire prescription is what many easily miss at the slightest provocation, and this is what I call “blind spot”. Let’s assume this is not you, can you imagine what one stands to lose if a three-quarter of his or her sight is gone? Let’s see this prescription in Ephesians 4:26-27 (NKJV):
“BE ANGRY, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Do you see the first two words compared to all the rest? Are they all God’s admonition to us? Do we have right to jump at the first part “be angry and do not sin”, and then abandon or neglect the rests? Imagine indeed if two Panadol tablets (Extra) truly heal all headaches, and as an adult who has a pounding headache (remember if Panadol is proven to heal all headaches), you decided to only use one-tenth of just one tablet and then threw the nine-tenth away; how would you on earth get rid of the headache if there’s no other drugs in the whole wild world that can cure you? And what would you think the result would be at last? Your guess is as good as mine!
THIS IS SAME REASON WHY MANY ONE-TIME SWEET AND WONDERFUL RELATIONSHIPS AND MARRIAGES HAS GONE, AND AS I WRITE, MANY ARE PLUMMENTING DOWN TO GROUND ZERO WITH INNOCENT AND WOUNDED COUPLES BEING UNCONSCIOUSLY AND EMOTIONALLY DRAGGED DOWN TO HELL… BECAUSE OF WORD-ABUSE -improper application of Bible dosage of Ephesians 4:26-27 when offence looms
But wait a minute!
See how the amplified rendered it more simply for the purpose of analyzing the configuration of this Bible-medicine:
“26 Be angry [at sin–at immorality, at injustice, at ungodly behavior], yet do not sin ; do not let your anger [cause you shame, nor allow it to] last until the sun goes down. 27 And do not give the devil an opportunity [to lead you into sin by holding a grudge, or nurturing anger, or harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness]”. (EPHESIANS 4:26-27 AMP)
O! How often many innocent marriage partners have allowed the devil to make them guilty over the case of anger by leading them to violate God’s Word. They were blinded by their emotions, took God’s laws into their hands; railed all manner of abusive words or curses at their partners; withdrew love and care; deny their partners their conjugal rights. They have become blinded by one major negative emotional attitude called anger, that they do not know that someone is cheering them-waiting to receive them on the other side. Certainly, that person who is waiting to receive you while you are full of unforgiveness, bitterness, curse words, unresolved anger due to the pain you carry in your heart which you refused to allow God to deal with, can never be God BUT THE DEVIL. Did I hear you say “God forbid”? But that is not enough until you take that Word prescription wholly. Thank God that overdose of scriptures do not kill but makes one more healthy-Pro. 4:22.
MAKE YOUR SPOUSE FEEL MARRIED
God has so designed that it is ONLY in the marriage institution that husband and wife can become best of friends. This is surely the highest level of relationship attainable when couples practice NAKED-HEARTEDNESS.
Lies, infidelity, selfishness and lack of trust are the greatest killers. Those whose lives have been visited by these killers, only pretend to be married,; but the truth is that, their spouse don’t feel married.
May God visit such marriages, grant deliverance to them and restore back the sweet love of memorable ‘yesterdays’ in the mighty name of Jesus.
Only when marriage partners return back to Jesus at the center of their relationship by practicing the truth of God’s Word, will they find the peace beyond human understanding coupled with unquantifiable blessings for which God has said, “Marriage is honorable in all.”
No lesson is ever lost in your marriage until you do nothing about the challenges. Don’t feel bad in the presence of others who say they’ve never experienced any conflict in their marriage. God is much more eager to help couples in their troubled marriages.
ALL THINGS ARE WORKING FOR YOUR GOOD!
Apostle Paul said, “the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel” (Phil 1:12). How unbelievable it seems, that a small aquatic creature known as oyster right in the ocean wombs, could produce beautiful and lasting prarls just by secreting a chemical substance around irritants (a grain of sand or animal tissue) that finds Its way inside it. Instead of the oyster to allow that irritant to damage it, it devices a means to prevent itself from being incapacitated. Wow! How much more Christian marriages should become better through crises- if couples determines to stay within the confines of God’s Word, in order to deal with the issues instead of running out of their marriage. It’s time to turn your irritability into a pearl of great price. Use the Word of God to deal with the issues and the devil today and not your spouse!
DON’T GO TO HELL BECAUSE OF YOUR SPOUSE, after all salvation is individual life-race on earth and everyone will give account of himself or herself to God.
If your spouse has decided to go to hell, DON’T GO DOWN WITH HIM/HER! It’s not worth it to go to hell or being dragged to hell by anyone who has been abducted or induced by satan to break the law of God and your heart. YOU ONLY OWE THAT KIND OF SPOUSE YOUR LOVE AND PRAYERS THAT (1). God will have mercy on him or her; (2). God will break him or her through an encounter with Him, to bring about the fear of God; (3). The blood of Jesus won’t be in vain over his or her life; (4). The power of satan be broken over his or her life; and that he or she be delivered from spirit of immorality (marine spirits); (5). Every action/relationship between your spouse and the third party coming in between both of you, be cursed and become completely unfruitful; and turn their backs to each other; (6). God will turn your spouse’s heart back fully to God and to you and your children as a matter of priority. ..in the MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS.
FINAL ADVICE
THE WINNING TEAM-JOINNING FORCES WITH GOD
Always endeavor to join forces with God to win your spouse, not just selfishly to yourself, but to God first. It saddens and pains God’s heart deeply more than you could ever feel in your heart, when your wife or your husband breaks your heart. You didn’t die for him/her; Jesus did! You didn’t shed your blood to save him/her; Jesus did! That your recalcitrant spouse is more of God’s creature, and child (if born again) though backslidden. Although you claim him or her as your husband or wife, but God totally owns Him or her. You cannot have him more than God would. God knows him or her better than you do. You can’t change him or her, but God can. The best thing you could do is to join forces with God to snatch him or her from the hand of the devil. Trust God enough to follow His instructions. Your prayers and love without any grudge and fear, are the sacrificial seeds that God needs in order to give you a turnaround breakthrough. “For we are God’s fellow workers..”-1 Cor. 3:9
