Egbin Power Demonstrates Commitment To Sustainability, Holds Medical Outreach in Host Communities

    In collaboration with Cecy Health Consult Ltd, Egbin Power organized a three-day medical outreach program in 2023 to deliver free medical check-ups to residents in Egbin, Ijede, and Ipakan. Over four thousand individuals, including children, adults, nursing mothers, and vulnerable community members, benefitted from the initiative, which included screenings for cardiovascular issues, arthritis, and dental concerns. Following thorough examinations by qualified medical professionals, participants received free high-quality medications.

    Felix Ofulue, Head of Corporate Communication and Branding, highlighted Egbin Power’s commitment to sustainable development through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. He emphasized the company’s dedication to catalyzing growth in host communities, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and focusing on health, environment, education, and people empowerment.

    Ofulue stated, “Health is wealth; when people have good health, it boosts productivity, promotes community development and growth, while it sustains their existence. At Egbin Power Plc, we are passionate about making a positive impact that accelerates rapid transformation in our host communities. Our actions are deliberate, inclusive, and sustainable.”

    Chief Musediku Aliu, the Regent of Ijede, commended Egbin Power for providing access to medical experts and addressing health challenges within the community. Chief Mustapha Lasisi, the Baale of Ipakan, praised the company for alleviating health issues through the annual medical outreach, preventing diseases from escalating.

    Mrs. Nosimot Yahya, the Iyaloja of Egbin, expressed gratitude for the program’s contribution to warding off diseases. Local resident Mrs. Akingboju Ataiyeshe emphasized the financial relief the initiative brings to parents, thanking Egbin Power for its consistent support.

    Founder/CEO of Cecy Health Consult Ltd, Dr. Yomi Jaye, emphasized the significance of the regular medical outreach in providing timely health checks and preventing life-threatening diseases. He commended Egbin Power and the community for successfully organizing the program.

    Egbin Power reiterated its commitment to community development, citing additional support beyond the medical outreach, such as the donation of an ambulance to the Ijede General Hospital, quarterly medication donations, and the provision of uninterrupted electricity to General Hospital Ijede, along with free hospital-grade oxygen to hospitals in Ikorodu.
