As at Friday, 17th of April 2020, 51 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Nigeria
Till date, 493 cases have been confirmed, 159 cases have been discharged and seventeen deaths have been recorded in Nigeria
The 51 new cases are reported from eight states- Lagos (32), Kano (6), Kwara (5), Oyo (2), Katsina (2), FCT (2), Ekiti (1), Ogun (1)
A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities
