The residents of Isijola, Popoola Streets and environs in Igando-Ikotun LCDA appeal to authorities of Igando-Ikotun LCDA and Governor Ambode to come to their aid owing to crushing pain of assessing their homes.

According to one of the residents simply identified as Okey, ” we are leaving not up to a kilometer to the LCDA secretariat within a major commerce center of the local government yet our roads are left in this terrible state” he lamented.

Others who were amazed at our presence of taking picture begged in anticipation of urgent palliative measures on their environs especially as the rains are already pouring which makes it more difficult for both motorists and other road users.

Another resident identified as Kunle who claims to be doing business within the axis lamented on how the LCDA is only interested in collecting revenue from them without concerns on their businesses while noting that business within the street is practically paralysed at any slightest of rain.

When we contacted the Supervisor for Works Igando-Ikotun LCDA Hon.Wale Azeez who is currently in Saudi for lesser Hajj, he confirmed to us that the road is among the roads listed for construction under Governor Ambode’s local government road project “181 Roads”, however he promised to provide a palliative measures when he is back
