The State Executive Committee, Area Council Chairmen, and key stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have distanced themselves from the purported suspension of FCT Chairman, Chief Clement Oba Ehigiator.
In a statement signed by Nwigbo Chukwudi Samuel, Publicity Secretary, and Lucy Fadumila, State Coordinator PWD/Disciplinary Committee Chairman, the executives described the suspension as “sham” and alleged that it was orchestrated by aides of Senator Ireti Kingibe, who are impersonating party officials.
The statement warned Senator Kingibe’s aides to desist from impersonating party officers and urged the National Chairman to disregard the pur, noting that the party has channels for resolving disputes and that Senator Kingibe should utilize them instead of resorting to propaganda.
The executives also alleged that Senator Kingibe had previously been petitioned by the state for misconduct and disregard for party structure, and that she had been advised to work with party structures and convene a stakeholders’ meeting, but had failed to do so.
The statement concluded by assuring the National Chairman of the party’s commitment to progress and unity, and called on Senator Kingibe to appear before the disciplinary committee to address the allegations against her.
