The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is taking its fight for democracy global, appointing envoys to 12 major foreign cities to highlight undemocratic practices and attacks on opposition figures in Nigeria.
The party’s Special Representatives Network (SRN) will engage foreign governments, legislative institutions, and international media, communicating the ADC’s policy positions and reform agenda.
The cities include Washington DC, London, Brussels, and others, with envoys briefing host countries on Nigeria’s governance issues, human rights concerns, and electoral integrity.
The move follows INEC’s decision to derecognise the party’s leadership, sparking outrage within the ADC. The party accuses the commission of bias and misinterpreting a court ruling.
