The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of attempting to prevent it from fielding candidates in upcoming elections.

The party claims INEC is refusing to accept correspondence from the ADC, citing a court case, despite having previously recognized the party’s leadership, including Senator David Mark as National Chairman.

ADC says this move by INEC is a “landmine” that could exclude the party from elections, and is calling on the commission to reverse its decision and ensure a level playing field for all parties.

The party has provided documentary evidence, including INEC records and a sworn affidavit, to support its claims.
